Sir what is the reason for the fact that in case of dissolution of a firm,the firm cannot show goodwill in the ordinary course of business but is only shown at the time of sale of such business

becz as per AS-10, self generated assets can't be shown such as GW. but at the time of purchase or sale, u may end up payong more tha n the Book Value which is GW and that u need to sho it becz u have paid for it.
