29 October 2011 If a Private Limited Company (manufacturing concern)is registered under GTA Category of Service Tax and having input credit under different category of service received .i.e. travelling bill & other related category and is having total input credit rs 950000/- in apr-sep 2011.

The company is also not yet started it production.

What option lie with the company to get input credit of Rs 950000/- and manner in which it can take.

30 October 2011 GTA service tax receipent regn does not allow you to take cenvat credit, as its registered as service receipent. and such ST is payable in cash only.

unless the company start to provide taxable service/ taxable goods clearance, no input credit would be allowed.
