20 July 2013 cash given by a father to daughter through cheque in her marrige of rs 200000. what is the procedure for filing return whether it is necessary to file affidavit ?

20 July 2013 Filing of affidavit is not required. It is a tradition and AOs are quite familiar with such traditions in the society.

In case the daughter has not filed returns so far, she is not required to file the return as the amount received from her father is not an income for her, it is a gift only.

kindly giving the correct procedure of filing ITR where the amount is consider as the gift in the itr or any other?
