SUPPOSE i give gift OF RS. 100000 to my brother's wife & made gift deed on Stamp paper of Rs.100 but the deed is not affidavited OR notarised
IS THE DEED VALID OR NOT AS PER INCOME TAX LAW.
IS IT ESSENCIAL TO REGISTERED OR NOTARY

The deed is not required to be "notarised".
It is sufficient if you get Signature of 1. yours as the Donor.
2. Bhabhi's Signature as an Acceptance of the said gift.
3. Brother's signature as a witness.
4. You may take Signature of one more witness.
It is sufficient if you get Signature of 1. yours as the Donor.
