12 November 2014 Please tell the legal formality to set up a courier business in india.
Whether any licensing requirement for the same? Or only company registration with ROC & service tax registration is just sufficient?

12 November 2014 ROC and service tax and PAN..is sufficient. One more point to be considered is...STAMP DUTY.

12 November 2014 stamp duty for what? & to whom?

12 November 2014 courier service falls under payment of stamp duty. If you are intermediary...say franchisee of someone like professional, dhl or like, then no need of stamp duty. Because it is borne by those companies.
