I am prepairing gar 7 to deposit service tax but I find that there is no column of tax period in gar 7 like challans of income tax and sales tax.

24 October 2013 I have to deposit service tax for the period 1 April 2013 to 30 Sep 2013.

Now Please advise me I should prepare two seperate challans. One for the first quarter and second one for the 2nd quarter.

And for the Ist quarter St-3 excel utility not calculating interest payable, therefore I have to calculate in on my own
or
I should deposit it without interest

24 October 2013 GAR-T has to be prepared quarter wise.
Interest has to be calculated by the payer, ST-3 Excel utility will not calculate automatically.
Payer should deposit ST with interest.

24 October 2013 for the first quarter payable service tax is 21150.
Do I have to calculate interest on service tax and ed. cess seperatly or combined interest can be calculated.

This is our first tax period, then what is the interest rate applicable on us
