Whether income or loss from transactions relating to futures & options of Shares are considered speculative or not?

How the loss generated from above transaction be adjusted?

16 July 2011 By virtue of section 43(5) such transactions are not treated as speculative transactions. These are normal business transactions and losses incurred (not generated) can be set off against current income as per the provisions applicable to non-speculation business losses.
