21 June 2011 Whether fringe benefit tax is applicable to the Town Municipal council(a lo9cal Authority--Govt. of Karnataka for the Financial year 2006-07 & 2008-09?
On which item of expenditure covered let us enrich our knowledge regarding the same

21 June 2011 A local authority had bee defined as " employer" vide section 115W of chapter XII-H
of The IT Act.

FBT has become a thing of past. In its short life span it has generated much debates. Nobody liked this type of irrational tax on expenditure and that too where in we talk about taxes on Income.
