Freight charge on bill

03 August 2013 Dear Sirs,
Kindly guide me some of our vendor charges freight with there bill now i want to know who is liable for service tax in this case.

and also confirm me can we adjust excess service tax paid?

03 August 2013 as per payment terms who is liable to pay frieght...

that person is considered as service receiver and he is liable to pay GTA service tax and will be eligible for taking credit on service tax paid

26 August 2013 ok Sir Thanks, But we are not paying direct freight to transporter our vendor pay freight to transporter & charge same amount in his bill but he is not charging service tax. In this case who is liable to pay service tax?
