27 July 2016 plz suggest is freelance teaching income covered under income from profession? If yes do the freelancer has to file ITR4?

27 July 2016 Ofcourse it can not covered under Salary. Rather you can not cover under income from other sources. you need to file itr 4 to get deduction of expenses.

28 July 2016 Teaching is not a "business" as there is no commerce or trade or manufacturing activity or adventure. Teaching is definitely a profession but it may not be a specified profession u/s 44AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
