The validity of franking typically refers to the stamping or endorsement of a document to indicate payment of fees or duties, such as in legal or financial transactions. In the context of starting your articleship, it seems you are concerned about the timing of when your articleship officially begins and the impact of the franking date.
Here’s how to address your questions:
1. **Validity of Franking Date:** - Franking is usually done on documents like agreements, deeds, or applications to indicate that the required stamp duty or fee has been paid. The date of franking indicates the date on which the payment was made. - In your case, if you franked a document on 7th August 2015, it means the payment associated with that document was made on that date. The document itself should be valid as long as it complies with all legal and procedural requirements.
2. **Start Date of Articleship:** - Articleship typically begins when it is officially registered or accepted by your principal and reported to the relevant regulatory body (such as ICAI in India). - Since your principal will register you after 10th September (presumably in 2015), that would be the formal start date of your articleship as recognized by the regulatory body.
3. **Impact of Franking Date:** - The date of franking (7th August 2015) does not necessarily dictate the start date of your articleship. It simply indicates the date of payment for a particular document or fee. - The actual start date of your articleship will be the date when your principal registers you, which you mentioned will be after 10th September.
4. **Clarification with Principal:** - It’s essential to communicate with your principal regarding the procedures and timelines for registering your articleship. They will guide you through the formalities and provide clarity on when you can officially start your articleship.
In summary, the franking date of 7th August 2015 indicates the date of payment for a document or fee. The start date of your articleship will be determined by when your principal registers you, which in your case will be after 10th September. Ensure you follow up with your principal to complete the registration process and officially begin your articleship.
