26 June 2009 I wish to clarify whether we should use Form No. 3CA or Form 3CB for pvt. and pub. ltd. company and what will be the case when a company has a turnover less than 40 lacs

Form 3CA is format of Tax Audit report to be given u/s 44AB to the assessee's whose accounts are also audited under any other law. Since, accounts of pvt.ltd and Limited companies are also audited under companies law, report is given in Form 3CA. If any company has turnover less than Rs.40 lacs then it is not required for tax audit subject to section 44AB.

For more clarification, you may refer section 44AB
