Sir / madam,
if gross salary Rs. 180000/- and taxable salary is below Rs. 160000/-, it is necessary to issue form 16 to an employee or we can issue any other certificate for the financial year 2009-10.

It is advisable to issue form 16 instead of other certificate.

YOU SHOULD ISSUE FORM 16 SHOWING HIS TAXABLE INCOME AS NIL.

if TDS is nil then you can issue a salary certificate showing all particulars of the salary in the company's letter head instead of Form 16
