31 July 2012 Sir,

Do we have to submit form 16 if filling return mannualy.

& why not IT return extracted from site not accepted just because it is not colored.

Thereseem to be much chaos about salaried person return filling.

On one hand i understand we have not to submit any document incl form 16 at the submitting the return.

Why IT tax collector are asking for form 16?

PLease thro light on this & clarify.

31 July 2012 No chaos at all. The chaos, if any, is about paying the FEES of TRP or CA. The unfortunate part on the SALARIED people is that they are not ready to pay the fees. Otherwise, as you have rightly said, no attachment is required to file the MANUAL return as well. Please contact the concerned PRO of income tax, if anyone is not accepting the return.

31 July 2012 Sir,

As you said No form 16 should be attached then why do they ask qn like - we are not able to see your total salary, deduction etc.
So they forced us to come along with the Form.

& Also when IT has to download Form16 from the site they insists that the form should be colored & not B&W.

31 July 2012 No.. that is totally wrong on the part of IT people. If you wish you can make a complaint against the concerned with PRO
