Form 112 delayed by 1 year

06 June 2013 Sir,

I am undergoing articleship for the past 2 years. I joined a correspondence course last year but failed to submit for 112 coz of not knowing the fact that we have to inform the intitute reharding it even in case of a correspondence course..

.now after 1 year delay..... I now want to request condonation with the prescribed fees nd duly filled form 112. Will my reason fr delay be accepted fr grant of condonance?? What can be a genuine reason which will be accepted by them without any hassle ??? please help me out....

2. will my enrolment as a member be delayed even after the condonation??? if yes, by how much?

06 June 2013 As your's is correspondence course and you proove to icai that you have not attended for classes so

icai may condone this and may not delay your membership..

better intimate with icai asap

06 June 2013 Sir, what can be an acceptable excuse for the condonance??

Can i state that i was ignorant of the procedure and so i delayed the form submission?will this be a genuine reason??

or should i say it was bcoz of my work assignments and family problems?

06 June 2013 Say that you are ignorant of this procedure..

as you are doing only one course and also distance course where attending classes is not required icai may condone this..

don't say that you are busy in work..icai will not accept that student is that much busy to post a form 112,,

so better go with first option..

06 June 2013 Have you noticed any case where condonation was not granted and the period of articleship cancelled???

Is it also a possibility?

07 June 2013 I have not seen and institue will not do particularly in your case as there is no mistake except your ignorance

however there will be such actions on you if the course was regular one..

i have seen some what announcement/notification on icai.org

i couldn't able to view icai.org now due to some system problems

do search in icai.org as word form 112 you will see all notifications

dont delay now..just post it ..if you want to skip it..it may become problem at later stage
