Form 10b for society

Dear Sir,
One of My Client, a society, has applied for registration U/s 12A.
The concerned Income Tax Officer has asked for audit report as per form 10B for last three years.
Form 10B is applicable for a charitable or religious trust or institutions.
The term "institution" includes the Society registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 (Act 21 of 1860) ?
Please guide me weather I can issue such audit report to a Society ?

Yes. society is covered under institution. You are required to submit the Form 10B audit report and file it online.
