How much foreign currency can be received by peroson ?

There is no limit. It depends why and against what the foreign currency is received. If it is against export there is no limit and same is applicable for rendering services outside India. In case a NRI bringing the money to India then also no limit and for other receipts also there is no limit but the intimation should be given to RBI through direct route
