For non completion of gmcs in one year

Please tell me any one what happens if GMCS is not complited in one year from start of articleship ?
and what is procedure

At present no penal provisions have been prescribed by ICAI for non-completion of GMCS within 1 year. It is suggested to complete the GMCS as soon as possible.
