i wanted to invest Rs 400000 in fixed deposit in national bank. plz tell me how to avoid the tds on fixed deposit interest income. my income is below the income tax slab rate .

Submit Form 15G (Form 15H in case of senior citizen) in the bank. You can get this form in the bank itself. This you will have to submit every year in case you income is below the limit in future too.

Business man can open PPF but for his personal savings and not for profit of the business

yes business man or any man or HUF can open the PPF a/c

No. HUF cannot open PPF account.
