Dear Experts,
We have purchased 20 chairs @ 4000.00. Then I would like to know that it should be capitalised or not and also confirm the schedule of company act for the same.

U can capitalise it under Furniture and fixture.

But as per income tax Schedule XIV Fixed assets capitalisation limit is Rs.5000. So, that limit applicable for each article or Invoice value. Please clarify the same.

capitalize under furniture & fixture . and under income tax no amount condition as you mention. but in old company act it it fully depreciated if its value upto rs. 5000/- per items.
