I wanted to know that if an existing plant is dismantled from its location and again installed at the other location of the Company than the cost incurred on dismantling and again installing on the plant should be capitalised or expensed out ?

19 January 2013 The expenditure for dismantling of existing plant and assembled to another location, does not result in any addition to the performance or efficiency of such asset,

therefore such expenditure need to be expensed off in P&L.

19 January 2013 completely agree with CA Himanshu.
it is P\L expense. No capitalization.
