08 February 2016 In the initial years of our post independence economy, the face value of shares used to be Rs.100. In those days the companies used to raise the capital as and when required, from the shareholders. In those days, there used to be 1st call, 2nd call and so on so forth. Now a days, this system is not found in vogue, with face value being Rs.1, in many of the cases.
