please tell me whether purchased goodwill is added to the assets while calculating capital employed?

But sir in many well recognised books it is clearly stated that goodwill should not be added to the assets for calculating capital employed.I am taking finanacial reporting classes from rahul sir of cci n he has also solved the question by adding purchased goodwill.please clear my doubt by providing appropriate reasons sir.

For Purchased goodwill being money spent on it, it has to be included in capital employed.
