18 April 2013 Hi,

My company registered service tax on 20-09-2012 and we paid service tax on 05-10-2012 for reversal charges. While filing return for the period of June to September it show rejected reason “System does not allow filing of return for period prior to the date of registration”. Please advise us..

19 April 2013 If service tax return is not accepted online then try to submit manual hard copy to deptt. snd it can be shown at the time of service tax audit that you have deposited service tax with interest.

30 April 2013 department will not accept hard copy. now its compulsory to file return electronically for all assesses.
