I have filed my return online without the digital signature and obtained the verification form alongwith the acknowledgement number. The verification form need to be signed and submitted in the income tax. My query is if I submit this after due date will I be at fault??

If you have filed ur return without digital signature,you have to file ITR-V within 15 days after that.
Once the file is uploaded, the ITR-V form is generated and this is the proof of you having filed your return. You need to print out two ITR-V forms. One has to be submitted to the tax office and the receiving clerk or officer will stamp and return the other one for your records
In case you do not file the same in time then it will be held that you have not filed ur return.

In case you do not file the ITR V in time then date of stamp will be considered as date of filing of your return.
