If a whole time Director is already appointed in a company in 2013, so is it required to file MR-1 for return of Appointment as KMP?
Please specify, its urgent.

26 September 2014 If the whole time director is being designated as KMP then MR-1 needs to be filed as MR-1 is to be filed for appointment of KMP.

27 September 2014 Automatically there is no need to file MR-1 for existing WTD.

However if you want to designate such WTD as KMP to ensure compliance of Section 203, then you have to take note of such WTD as KMP and file form MR-1.
