14 July 2014 One of my friend is not having any income for the F.Y.2013-14, still he wants to file ITR for A.Y.2014-15. As a matter of fact, i just want to ask, what are the penalties if someone files income tax return without having any actual income, explain it in details with relavant notification regarding this matter, if so issued by the IT Department.

14 July 2014 thanks for your rply@ Tushar Sampat, if IT dept. founds that the return is wrong, and filed with some other suspecious reasons, then what act they would take, is there any such a provision to take action against such an assessee?

14 July 2014 they can ask for scrutiny and can impose penalty
