The income for the year 2011-2012 exceeds the basic limit and no TDS have been deducted.Can I file my IT return for the FY 2012-2013 onwards without filing the IT return for the FY 2011-2012?
Do I received any notice from IT department to pay tax for the FY 2011-2012 , once i file my IT returns for the FY 2012-2013..?

Yes you can file your Income Tax Return for the FY 2012-13 onwards without filing the Return of FY 2011-12. Now difficult to tell about notice. But notice will not come just because you filed the return for FY 2012-13 without filing return for FY 2011-12.

Chances of scrutiny are slim unless IT Department have your Income Data with them.
