I have uploaded INC-22A for a pvt ltd company in which DSC of atleast 2 directors is affixed(requirement). For 1 director I have recently registered his DSC on mca portal.
But after uploading the form,MCA is showing error "Digital Signature Verification failed. Please affix a valid DSC". Since all DSC affixed to form are registered on MCA portal.What is main reason behind this error.

The main reason for the “Digital Signature Verification failed” error is usually a mismatch between the DSC registration/association and the MCA V3 portal requirements — even if the DSC appears registered. In your case, the recently registered DSC of one director is likely not fully associated with his profile on MCA V3, or there is a technical issue with the emSigner/emBridge utility.

Common Causes of the Error • DSC not properly associated with Director’s profile • On MCA V3, it’s not enough to just register the DSC. Each director must log in to their MCA account and associate their DSC with their DIN. If this step is skipped, the portal rejects the signature. • Mismatch in profile details (PAN/Aadhaar/KYC) • If the director’s MCA profile details (name, PAN, Aadhaar) don’t exactly match the DSC certificate details, the portal fails verification. • Technical issues with emSigner/emBridge utility • The MCA portal requires the latest version of emSigner/emBridge installed and running with administrator rights. If the utility isn’t running or is outdated, the DSC won’t be recognized. • Expired or revoked DSC • Even if registered, an expired or revoked DSC will trigger this error. • Multiple DSCs linked earlier • If the director had another DSC previously associated, the portal may still be referencing the old one. Removing/re-associating the DSC often resolves this.

Steps to Resolve - Check DSC association - Log in to MCA V3 with the director’s credentials. - Go to Profile → Register/Associate DSC and ensure the DSC is linked to the DIN. - Verify details match - Ensure the DSC certificate name matches exactly with MCA profile details (no spelling differences, initials, or mismatched PAN/Aadhaar). - Reinstall emSigner/emBridge - Uninstall the current version. - Download the latest setup from MCA portal and install with administrator rights. - Run the utility before uploading the form. - Clear old DSCs - If the director had a previous DSC, de-register it and re-associate the new one. - Check validity - Confirm the DSC is active and not expired.
