If the private limited company is formed in March-2010 and there is no activity then is it mandatory for the company to file it's income tax return for the F.Y. 2009-10 ??? Or can it file it's 1st return for the period from March-2010 to March-2011 ??

yes it is mandatory to file the return for the financial year 2009-10.
