what will happen if filing of IT return after the due date.

Moreover...if any loss were there for the related AY......the same cant b carried forward.

then refund is granted to you whether original or belated reurn

Yes, refund will be granted .......but the only thing is in case of delay in getting refund......You wont be eligible to get the interest on delay u/s 244A........
