Fee charged for late filing of return

I have filed I.T return for financial year 2020-21 on 01.08.2021.Though Government has announced extension for filing of return upto 30.09.2021,late filing fee of Rs. 5000/- charged to me. Can I file a revised return now?

No need for filing revised return. It will be refunded while processing the return. Wait for refund.
