is guest house expense excluded from fbt in a.y. 2009-10

Yes, it has been removed through Finance Act 2008 wef FY 2008-09. And thanks for updating me also. I was not aware of this amendment, and paid FBT for a client on this expenses. But your question updated me in this regard.
