can we utilise excise credit for payment of excise liability for export to nepal

Export to Nepal is covered under notification 45/2001 where excisable goods can be exported dutyfree from India.Export to be made under Bond/LUT to jurisdictional AC/DC.Cenvat credit can be utilised for domestic removal.

Export to Nepal where the consideration is NOT in freely convertible currency, duty has to be discharged and you can utilise cenvat credit for this. Otherwise you can export to Nepal without payment of duty under bond.
