Exemption on attire allowance

Hi Experts,
I want know whether Pair of Shoe consider as attire allowance or not? And if the company provides attire allowance to the employees and the company does not have any uniform then, does the employee can claim attire allowance exemption?

If the employer defined it as allowance at the time of giving it then u can claim it as allowance. Secondly if it is the practice of the company to provide the allowance then u can claim it as allowance as per ur IT Return, Otherwise treat it as a gift from the employer.
