Is excise duty and sales tax exempted in uttaranchal?

if we sell goods from andhra pradesh to uttaranchal do we need to charge excise duty and sales tax or it is exempted for the sales made to uttaranchal?

19 April 2009 The government has extended area based exemption to manufacturing units located in HP from payment Excise Duty.
However the exemption is not available if the units undertakes only peripheral activities on goods such as packing/ re-packing / labeling / re-labeling and declaration or alteration of retail sale price etc.
The exemption is for clearance made from HP to anywhere in India and not restricted to HP only. ( Not No 49/2003)

There is no exemption to sale tax and is payable

24 April 2009 Excise duty is manufacture. Thus excise duty exemption is available if manufacture is in Uttarchanchal- it is irrelevant where the goods are sold after manufacture.
When goods are sold outside state, CST is payabe. presently there 1% CST is payable.
