Dear Experts,
We are MFG, having turnover 1.6 crore however recently we have taken excise registration. Plzz clarify can we avail SSI exemption not to charge Excise in invoice....inspite having excise registration as well as having turnover exceed 1.5 crore....

Yessss.
You have to take Excise Registration. For SSI unit Upto 1.5Cr you can't charge ED & can't avail. Once turnover goes above 1.5 CR then Excise registration necessary. If Turnover is less than 4 Cr then you can avail SSI exemption.
You will get exemption upto 1.5 CR against Exemption Notification No.:8/2003 CE dtd.01.03.2003 As amended.

Dear dipesh sir, as i am already registered in excise also having turnover 1.6 crore, plzz tell me should i charge ED or not....
