Dear Sir,
We have to pay excise duty for the month of march-2012 on 31.03.2012. but we have not paid due to insufficinet of fund. now we are planning to pay on 06.04.12. what is the interest rate and what is the procedure.

Interest will be chargeable @18% from the date duty becomes due and up to the date of actual payment..pay voluntarily
