Excise on Sample

16 April 2011 A manufacturer of a Marble slab supply its product (Rough Marble Slabs) in concessional rate of duty. But to motivate to party they are polished the Rough marble Slabs in some extent & supply it to party as a sample in free of cost & shown in the Invoice. My question can the supplyer make the payment of duty on it which has no concessional rate of duty. And what extent or ratio it will be free ?.
