i want to import some plastic engineering items.what is excise duty and import duty applicable on that item approximately.
can anyone guide.

15 April 2011 please noted that as per para 2 of foreign trade policy sub para 2.8(iii) ask that the person are exempted the IEC if they are importing / exporting the goods for personal use / agriculture purpose.

please also provide the RITC HS code no. so that i can posting prompt reply.

15 April 2011 hi, it is a sub assembly part. not complete independent part. i will buy that from china and fit it to my engineering item as per design and make integral valve assembly. how much duty is charged.wheather excise is applicable for import.mandar.

I dont think it can be defined by that way. It is generalised under engineering plastic item.thnx.
