10 September 2011 What is excise duty pla? what is the main purpose of maintaining excise duty pla a/c.? can the credit of excise duty be availed through pla a/c or there is any other way of availing the same.?

10 September 2011 personal ledger account.
since excise duty ask to pay ed on removal of goods.and that practically not possible so we have prepaid accounts, and when we remove goods from factory then excise duty credited from that prepaid acount that is PLA account.and yes credit can b taken.
