i purchase a pattern on behalf of Local customer & I raised a separate bill for pattern to customer. can i charge excise duty on that

pattern is not manufactured by you, so in place of bill, you may raise a debit note attaching the xerox copy of original bill of pattern manufacturer.
if you need to issue bill, then preferred to use a seperate series of commercial invoice for trading purpose, so that it could not mix with manufacturing.
