Sir
We are importing coal from other countries.After receipt of the coal we are segregating into different sizes. Then we are selling it to our customers. Now is it attract Excise duty?. Kindly clarify it.

Aggregating/ sorting is not a process of manufacture and no deemed mfr concept applies to Coal in Chapter 27. No ED attracted.
