01 February 2012 Hi , can anybody confirm me that what is the limit for excise audit in manufacturing unt, & Mainly which type of requirement need by excise audit staff in excise audit ? what is the last date of audit & how time audit in year? plz confirm , I will be gratefull to you sir.....

02 February 2012 If yo are paying excise duty more than Rs. one crore excise audit of such manufactruing unit. Normally they are asking details is prescribed Form Appendix 10B in which assessee has to provide details of production, clearances and duty payment product wise for last 5 years and cnevat credit details from the date of last audit , details of excise duty paid from cenvat account and account current through cash, service tax input credit and service tax paid on out put credit. Pending liigations with Central excise dept. till the date of audit. Apart of this they fianancial statement of the uni for last five years or from last audit. Sales tax return , 3CA/3CD as per incoem tax act. The crucial point is sales as per excise retun and sales account for excisable finished goods has to be tallied in sales reconcial seget of the excise audit (EA 2000).
