Excess payment of tds

07 August 2013 Good evening one of my friend ge is an accountant in one hospital he excessly deducted the tds u/s 194j by Rs. 200000/- . Whether we can get refund or how we adjust the excess payment aganist further payments.

07 August 2013 if your friend has not deposited TDS then he can refund excess TDS
but if he has deposited then he can adjust other bills with this payment of tds i.e. if next month bill is also to be paid don't deduct tds on that while filling return you can adjust that excess TdS with those bills on which you didn't deduct TDS
