my cury is how can i sum of figurs including text like rs.50000, in excel.before asking i attemp a lot but couldn't be able to do so.

16 August 2013 DO NOT write "Rs" before the figure. Just write the figures. Then Format the Cell. Under the Number tab, Select currency. Then select Rs. symbol.

Now you can sum the figures. Select the same format for the sum cell also.
