Error message in itr-1

20 May 2013 I HAD FOLLOWED ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY U I.E,C:/PROGRAM FILES(*86)/MICROSOFT OFFICE/OFFICE14/XLSTART

INSTEAD OF OFFICE 14 IT DISPLAYS OFFICE12
AND ALSO IT SHOWS THE FOLDER IS EMPTY,THERE ARE NO ITEMS FOR DELETE.

STILL THE ERROR MESSAGE OCCURS ON THE SCREEN WHEN I OPENED ITR-1.
WHAT CAN I DO?

20 May 2013 if the above steps don't do the trick, there is one other possible solution you can try:

Close Excel

Open Windows Explorer

In the Windows Explorer address bar, type %appdata% and press Enter.

In the resulting list of sub folders, find and open the Microsoft folder In the Microsoft folder, find and open the Forms sub folder.

In the Forms folder, rename or delete the following two files (if they are present):

comctllib.exd

mscomctllib.exd

(don't delete any other files delete only if you find exactly same files as i given above)

Open Excel
(it will automatically recreate the aforementioned files as it needs them)

Let me know whether your problem resolves or not

20 May 2013 YA I FOLLOWED UR STEPS ,BUT IN SUB FOLDERS ONLY ONE MICROSOFT FOLDER IS AVAILABLE WITH IN IN THAT NO OTHER MICROSOFT SUB FOLDER EXISTS... WHAT CA I DO?

20 May 2013 once u go as per my instruction given in previous reply,..

%appdate%
there u will find "microsoft folder"

once u open it so many folders will show out of it you have to go for folder "forms"
if you find any of two extension files as i mentioned in previous reply just delete it,.

normally u should get solution as per above if not yet get resolved

just go to this and press on "fix it button"

still not resolved, i don't think there is another solution for you,..take help of some technician,..he also will not do any more than i suggested,..he may uninstall of re-installs microsoft office"

note: if your downloading out side excel addins better save and run it in other than c drive

u may try all solutions given in

still not resolved contact some technician he will take care of it
