03 July 2012 i am a semiqulified CA,appeared for my ca final exams, recently i got an opportunity from a CA firm, they said that they will put me on ERP training. that training will be done by TCSiON at ahemdabad, it will be a 12 days training, after that 12 days training they will put us on project(for practical application of that erp training)for around 2.5 months. after that we will work under that ca firm only under audits of their clients having erp software.
i just wanted to ask that what do u think ? will it be a worth going for such opportunity? what career opportunity will i get after working with such a firm? (suppose after 1 year)
is this ERP under TCS iON is same what we called as SAP/ERP or it is all togather different from it? which one is better as per current scenario?

pls. help me out this is urgent...

03 July 2012 The TCS ion may not be considered as ERP as it lacks certain functionality as compared to traditional erp like SAP and Navision. TCS launched this application for short & medium enterprises and the future of this software may not be turn good as the software is satelite based and its very costly as compared to traditional erp packages. It will be good for you to join such a chartered firm where you can get mixture of all assignments and not limited to a single assignment as visible in this case - training of tcs ion.
