if security charges is rs 22500 exclusive of service tax.

If the service is input service
Security charges Dr. 22500
Service tax receivable Dr. 3150
(22500*14%)
Service Tax payable Cr.3150
TDS payable Cr.450
( suppose company TDS@ 2%)
Party Cr.22050
if the service is not input service then debit the service tax to security charge a/c
If the service is input service
Security charges Dr. 22500
Service tax receivable Dr. 3150
(22500*14%)
Service Tax payable Cr.3150
TDS payable Cr.450
( suppose company TDS@ 2%)
Party Cr.22050
if the service is not input service then debit the service tax to security charge a/c
