Hello experts!
My wife's bank has deposited TDS for fixed deposits in her name. However since she has no other means of income I wanted to get the refund via. ITR-1.
In ITR-1 what category of employer should I select for her?

Here you should use ITR 2 not Itr 1. Read the rules in income tax site regarding the ITR to be filled. Since your wife has having only other income you should file ITR 2. Only for Salaried persons ITR1 is used.

In ITR 2 you no need to fill the employment details. Because your wife is having Income from other sources but not from Income from salary. So fill the details in income from other sources and mention as Fixed deposit interest.
